Dr. Adam Maurer
Doctor of Chiropractic
Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician
Dr. Maurer attended Penn State-Berks for two years while competing at Division III baseball and soccer. Dr. Maurer went on to the University Park campus to pursue his degree in Kinesiology. He graduated from Penn State University in 2011. Dr. Maurer attended New York Chiropractic College where he graduated in 2015. While attending New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Maurer was able to obtain a unique internship in which he worked at a Neurological Center in Riverhead, NY. This internship allowed Dr. Maurer the opportunity to treat patients with Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, concussions, and many other neurological disorders. Dr. Maurer was awarded the Liberio A. Violini Distinguished Service Health Center Award for his motivation, clinical skills, dedications, and perseverance.
After graduation, Dr. Maurer interned at a multidisciplinary practice in Midtown Manhattan. He integrated chiropractic care with pain management, physical therapy, acupuncture, and pilates. Dr. Maurer also co-managed patients along with an orthopedic specialist and a neurologist. Dr. Maurer is a board-certified chiropractor with an additional license in Physiotherapy.
As a former collegiate baseball and soccer player, Dr. Maurer has a passion and special interest in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of sports-related injuries. Dr. Maurer is also well-versed and trained in such areas as: soft tissue manipulation, myofascial release, corrective exercises, Graston, and rehabilitation. Dr. Maurer has taken extensive continuing education courses in order to stayed informed on the most up-to-date research on sport injuries, prevention of injuries, as well as sport performance. Dr. Maurer takes a more clinical, bio-mechanical approach to athletes and has provided care for professional athletes ranging from the NHL, MLS, Premier League, and Olympics. Dr. Maurer is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician as well as an International Certified Chiropractic Sport Physican. His passion has always been with baseball and hopes to continue to give back to the community.
Jeff Apple

Jeff attended Penn State University Park for his Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Athletic Training. Jeff spent time providing medical services for various teams at Penn State while completing his degree, including Men’s Lacrosse and Track & Field, and graduated in 2011. He spent two years as an intern for the Washington Capitals during their developmental camps and preseason workouts.
Jeff attended Boston University as a Graduate Assistant while completing his Master’s Degree, graduating in 2013. He worked primarily with Men’s club and D1 Ice Hockey, and Swimming & Diving. After graduating, he joined the Philadelphia Union for the inaugural year of their Developmental Academy program in 2013. Jeff helped to develop the Sports Medicine department of the Union Academy, where several homegrown athletes in the main roster got their starts.

Jeff is also a Licensed Massage Therapist, receiving his education from the Cortiva Institute in King of Prussia, PA. Jeff was honored with the Mary Jo Myers Outstanding Student Award during his graduation.
Jeff focuses on the proper development and mechanics of athletes, helping to identify any dysfunction or restriction that may be affecting performance and efficiency. He has firm beliefs in restoring proper movement patterns not only to athletic and high intensity movements, but also to everyday tasks that are often taken for granted. With a background in a wide array of sports, he is able to train athletes with a functional focus. Jeff is skilled in soft tissue therapy, corrective exercise, functional training, and rehabilitative exercise, but is constantly striving to improve and keep up with the current research and best practices. His vision is to create a high-quality full-service athletic facility, typically only available to the elite professional athletes.
Erin McCarthy
Licensed Massage Therapist
Erin McCarthy is a licensed massage therapist who focuses on the clinical treatment of muscular dysfunction. Her background in competitive cheer, dance, yoga, and boxing led her to the Move Clinic in 2022 as a client.
After graduating from the Academy of Massage Therapy & Bodyworks, and training under Jeff Apple, she now offers soft tissue treatments and corrective exercise for clients seeking pain relief, increased strength and mobility, and injury prevention and treatment.
In her free time Erin can be found in dance studios, boxing gyms, and yoga classes enjoying the strength and mobility she's gained from her treatments at The Move Clinic.
